Authentic Jesus Series

Woodwork, nets of fish, bread and wine and bloody crosses. With so many familiar words and stories, it can be hard to grasp just who Jesus of Nazareth really was; how he walked and talked with his friends, how he connected with strangers, how he suffered a brutal capital punishment willingly so that others could walk free.

So just what is it about this middle-eastern carpenter that forms the focus of the lives of the millions of people that call him ‘friend’?

Over the coming weeks, Lowestoft Community Church presents Authentic Jesus - a look at the REAL Jesus Christ. Through the Gospel of Mark - an account of His life - it will seek to answer questions of just who He was, what He did, and what relevance it has to us today.

Speaker: John Ifeanyi

Prayer Breakfast

8 January 2010
6:45 amto8:00 am

touching heaven changing earthYou are invited to join us every Friday for a weekly prayer breakfast from 6.45 until 8am in the small hall.

We will pray together and seek God for the outworking of his promises to us.  The elders will share something of what they feel God is saying to us and giving vision for, so that we can seek God together in an environment that allows the Holy Spirit to help us pray into these things.

Following this, for those who are able to stay on,  there will be an opportunity to enjoy time together over tea and toast.

We believe that investing in praying together in this way will bring personal growth in God and we will also see breakthrough and answers to prayer as we call on God together.

At Lowestoft Community Church we are constantly aiming to recover the feel of the New Testament local church in 21st Century life.  It was a place of excitement, challenge and advance.  In our current series Studies in Acts we are examining the hallmarks and features of healthy church life as seen in the New Testament.

This week Ben Parish will be speaking on Acts: A local church loves to …. worship.

Come and join us for this exciting series of studies.  Tea and coffee will be served after each meeting.

Please note there will be no Kidzone this week, but there will be plenty for the children to get involved with in the main meeting.
