Authentic Jesus Series
Woodwork, nets of fish, bread and wine and bloody crosses. With so many familiar words and stories, it can be hard to grasp just who Jesus of Nazareth really was; how he walked and talked with his friends, how he connected with strangers, how he suffered a brutal capital punishment willingly so that others could walk free.
So just what is it about this middle-eastern carpenter that forms the focus of the lives of the millions of people that call him ‘friend’?
Over the coming weeks, Lowestoft Community Church presents Authentic Jesus – a look at the REAL Jesus Christ. Through the Gospel of Mark – an account of His life – it will seek to answer questions of just who He was, what He did, and what relevance it has to us today.
Speaker: Ben Parish
Subject: Mark 13:1-36

Here I will Dwell
God has made some wonderful promises to us in the Bible concerning his desired and promised presence with his people. Additionally God has spoken to us as a church and has given us considerable encouragement that he intends to demonstrate his presence and power amongst us in a variety of ways.
This mini series is a response to the word and prophetic promises that God has given and aims to look at how, we as a local church, can help create an environment whereby God finds it easy to do the things he wants to do. We also hope to add in elements of teaching to stimulate the futher creation of biblical culture among us.

You are invited to join us every Friday for a weekly prayer breakfast from 6.45 until 8am in the small hall.
We will pray together and seek God for the outworking of his promises to us. The elders will share something of what they feel God is saying to us and giving vision for, so that we can seek God together in an environment that allows the Holy Spirit to help us pray into these things.
Following this, for those who are able to stay on, there will be an opportunity to enjoy time together over tea and toast.
We believe that investing in praying together in this way will bring personal growth in God and we will also see breakthrough and answers to prayer as we call on God together.
