Running Partners Discussion Points – November 2017

This month in our Running Partners, we are introducing the Learning Circle shape.

Just as we are familiar with the UP, IN and OUT of the Triangle, we want this Learning Circle to be a familiar part of our group discussions.

There is a written explanation of the Learning Circle. Some of you may prefer to watch a short video that also explains what the Circle is about, or do both to learn the most about it.

The Learning Circle will help us to more INTENTIONAL in our discussions about what God is speaking to us about and what we are going to do about it.

Now that we have been in our groups for a few months, we want to find a natural rhythm in our group meetings. Each time we gather, we should have some discussions about what we’ve been reading in our Bibles and what has been going on in our lives, and give time to pray for the things you discussed and for one another.

Be sure to get dates in the calendar to meet up in November, as well as the early part of December before we get fully into the Holiday season.

Our Spiritual growth is so important that we must work hard to make it a priority.

Let’s keep encouraging one another!

Mike and Vince

Q3 What is your preferred style of witness? WORDS (telling your story),
WORKS (being kind, good example), and WONDERS (praying for people)

Q4 What is an achievable next step for you this week to be a witness?

Q5 Are there people in your world that you are believing to come to Christ that your group can pray together for?

Running Partners Discussion Points – September 2017

We’re back after the Summer. Hope you had a bit of a break, or at least enjoyed the Sun!

September hits the ground running. It is so important that we keep our Running Partners a priority!

On Sunday mornings, we have started this Autumn term with a short series called Connect – digging deeper into our connection upward with God, inward as a church family, and connecting outward to our neighbours, community and the broken world.

To shape our September Running Partners discussions, we are going to look at the Fellowship spoke of our wheel.

We encourage you to watch another short video from Mike Betts before your meet up or watch it together when you meet (about 5 minutes).

We will look at the Kairos Circle explained at the beginning in the coming months.

Here are some discussion questions to assist your conversation following the video:

Q1 What personal challenges do you have regularly attending Sunday mornings or being part of a Life Group?

Q2 Do you feel a connected part of the church family? If not, why do you think that is?

Q3 What do you feel is your part to help you to grow in your connection? Can you identify any excuses you may have?

Be sure to get your October and November gatherings in your Calendar as soon as you can.

If you have any questions or comments, please don’t hesitate to speak to us, or drop us an email.

Running Partners Discussion Points – July 2017

July is our final Running Partners of the Summer. With August being a time that many people are on holidays, we will not be formally meeting in August, but feel free to get together with your running partners socially if you want.

We’ve been hearing some great examples of how running partners have been supporting one another in everyday life situations. Well done!

This month, we are going to look at the next spoke of our wheel on the topic of Bible Reading.

We encourage you to watch a short video before your meet up, and you can also watch it together when you meet (it’s only about 5 minutes).

Have a listen to the explanation of the Kairos Circle at the beginning, but we will look at that further in the coming months.

Here are some discussion questions to assist your conversation following the video:

How do you structure your Bible reading?
What gets in the way?
Name one thing you can put in action from the video?

Could you take a moment to send us a quick text or email with any comments or feedback regarding your group?

See you again in September,
Mike and Vince

Running Partners Discussion Points – June 2017

Below are some questions to help your discussions for June!

The questions are a guide to help you and not meant to be prescriptive. You don’t have to get through all the questions, but they are there if you need them.

To help shape your conversation, Mike Betts has made a short video (5 minutes) as one of his coffee breaks – it’s really helpful! You might want to watch it before you meet, or if you don’t have the technology, you can watch it together as a group.

You may also find it helpful if you set up as Whatsapp or other text or messaging to share prayer requests and encouragement with one another.

Don’t forget if you have any answers to pray that would encourage others, please let us know. Also, don’t hesitate to get in touch with any feedback or questions.

Have a great time together!
Mike and Vince
