We’re pleased to host Reverb, an event giving local high-school bands a chance to showcase their talents and perform in one of the town’s best venues.
Reverb events at The Depot usually contain three or four bands and acoustic artists playing in front of an audience of up to 400 young people with a full set-up rig that has to be seen (and heard) to be believed! There’s also a Chillout Cafe, serving food and drinks throughout the evening, which doubles as the venue for Grill-a-Christian, a chance for the audience to text in their questions on Christianity and get them answered by a brave panel of church members.
So why do we do it? It’s just one part of serving the community, providing a safe alcohol- and drug-free environment for a brilliant gig and encouraging the ambition and achievement of local teens with musical talent. And if people want to find out more about church whilst they’re there, that’s great too!
Since spring 2004 we’ve organised six Reverb events, with a total of nearly twenty local bands and artists playing with a brilliant atmosphere every time. Among these are bands that have emerged to great local success, including some getting TV appearances and record deals! If you’re after more information, want to join the mailing list, or feel confident enough to get involved and play to a fantastic audience, then just get in touch using the contact form below! We’d love to hear from you.
We’d like to thank the Suffolk Foundation for partly funding previous Reverb events, helping us to arrange the amazing set-up and keep the event free.
Reverb Unplugged
We are now hosting Reverb Unplugged events. These are lower key Reverb events involving many of the same elements. More details will be announced as events are organised, please contact us using the form below for further details.
